Food and water: Required
Crew capacity: Must be equal to or greater than crew count
Breathable atmosphere: Required where spacesuits are not needed
Oxygen supply: Must be supplied from a bottle or reprocessing
CO2 handling: Must be captured and either bottled or reprocessed to oxygen
Sewage handling: Must be captured and either bottled or reprocessed to oxygen

Combat control: Game AI controls all combat
Hull repair: Enabled during combat via default orders
Match format: Ships fight three times and the first to two kills wins
Time limit: No time limit; judges can call battles early if ships are stuck in a loop
Persistence: Winning ship carries forward between bracket levels without resetting
Salvage phase: Winning ship gets 3 minutes to repair and scavenge the defeated ship before the next battle state is saved
Drones: Destroyed drones are not replaced at the end of combat
Battlestations: Disabled during post-fight salvage handling
